Short version: this is a free tool made by one person to help you find cool events in NYC. Use it, enjoy it, don't be a jerk about it.
whatson.nyc is a free event discovery site for New York City. It pulls events from a bunch of sources, tries to sort through the noise, and surfaces things worth doing. It's an indie project, not a company.
We scrape event info from many places. Times change, venues cancel, tickets sell out, lineups swap, addresses move. We do our best to keep things accurate but we can't promise any event detail is correct. Always double-check with the venue or organizer before you show up.
Event listings, descriptions, images, and links come from third parties (venues, organizers, other event sites). We're not responsible for what they post or do. If you buy a ticket, attend an event, or deal with an organizer, that's between you and them.
If you log in, keep your Google account secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account anytime from your account page.
If someone abuses the chat, scrapes, spams, or generally ruins things for everyone else, we can suspend or delete their account without warning. We'd rather not, but we will.
The site is provided as-is. It might break, go down, lose data, or get rewritten from scratch. We're not liable for anything that happens from using or not being able to use it.
We might update these terms. If we do, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes we'll mention somewhere visible. Keep using the site means you're cool with the current terms.
